HMCRP HM-13 [RFP] Role of Human Factors in Preventing Cargo Tank Truck Rollovers

The objectives of this research are to (1) identify and analyze the root causes of the major driver factors contributing to cargo tank truck rollovers and (2) determine best safety, management, and communication practices that can be used to minimize or eliminate driver errors in cargo tank truck operations.
TRB Committee on Intergovernmental Relations in Aviation call for papers (Updated on 6/19/2010)
The committees are seeking papers that highlight applied research and innovations in aviation planning, policy development, and intergovernmental relations based on sound principles, solution-oriented applications and best management practices in the field of aviation system planning and aviation intergovernmental relations for TRB 90th Annual Meeting. Dr. John L. Renne, AICP was recently appointed as the Chair of the Research Committee of the TPD. Dr. Renne is an Assistant Professor of Urban Planning and Transportation Studies in the Department of Planning and Urban Studies at the University of New Orleans. He is also the Associate Director of the University of New Orleans Transportation Center. Dr. Renne is facilitating a process to set an agenda for the Research Committee based on the input of TPD members as well as transportation planning scholars from across the United States. He is currently surveying members about their opinions for the direction of this Committee. Dr. Renne has begun discussions with Kimberly Fisher of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) to coordinate efforts. One of his goals for the next year is to raise the profile of the Research Committee and establish partnerships with various standing committees within TRB to facilitate research on specific topics of interest to TPD members and APA members in general.
